A Perfect Place for Imperfect People
It's All About Faith
As a mom, a wife, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, an in-law, a friend there are so many things that I think people rely on me for. There are so many things I try to do everyday to help make a difference in people's lives around me. And I think I do make them happy, I give them pleasure by meeting their needs.
But there is one person in my life who I can't please with my deeds. No matter how hard I work, no matter what kind of person I am to other people, it all comes down to something else. Something that has nothing to do with the sweat on my brow from working and doing to accomplish great things...it comes down to my faith in Jesus as my Savior.
Hebrews 11:6 says, "Jenn, without faith it is impossible to please me because in order for you to come to me, you must believe that I exist, that I died for your sins and that My Spirit lives inside of you. I will reward you when you earnestly seek Me in faith."
Wow, that's it - to please Him all I have to do is to believe!!! How amazing and how relieving. Of course I know in believing in Him I will be given a heart to serve others but to know that is not what is required of me. All He wants is my faith in Him.
So because I do believe, I need to make sure that all of those other people that I am working so hard to please, know the importance of their faith in God. What good have I done for them in their lives if all I have done is "things" but I never bothered to share the one thing that truly matters.
I certainly don't have all the answers, but if you are reading this today you are one of the people that I care about. You are someone that I would do anything for and the most important thing I can do for you is tell you how important it is that you accept Jesus as your Savior.
If don't have a relationship with God and there is something you want to ask I invite you to get in touch with me. I certainly don't know all the answers but I will do anything I can to help you to better understand why it is so important to choose Him.
If you haven't asked Him into your heart and if you don't currently believe, I encourage you to think about what is standing in your way. If you don't talk to me, please find someone to talk to about your disbelief.
LORD, I pray that if someone is reading this right now and they don't already know You, and I mean truly know You, that You would reveal Yourself to them. Help them to feel the perfect love you have for them and help me to lead them to You if they ask. It is my prayer today that You touch the lives of those I care so much about in a way that they will have no doubt You are God and a very real power in all our lives. AMEN

I should note that this was my post yesterday for my family site - of which many who are members I am not sure about their faith.
The reason I chose to add it to our study is the revelation that I can serve all of the people I love as much as I want, but without sharing the message of salvation with them, I have failed them in my love for them.

Jenn, I think your posting was awesome and I think you just added a prayer request for us to lift up -- that God will use your words and the love behind them and all the serving you've already invested in those people and light a fire in their hearts for Him!
